Methodology

How SweepsGrade Rates Casinos

SweepsGrade uses a defined editorial framework to evaluate casino records. Editorial ratings are calculated independently from affiliate relationships and commercial placement.

SG-R1 Rating Framework

Internal ratings use a 0–100 scale and are converted to a public score out of 5.

Offer Value

25%

Evaluates promotional value, purchase requirements and offer accessibility.

Redemption

20%

Rewards

15%

Scoring

Score Calculation

Each available rating dimension is scored on a 0–100 scale and weighted according to the SG-R1 framework.

The resulting internal score is converted to the public five-point scale by dividing the overall score by 20.

Example88 / 100 → 4.4 / 5
Missing Data

N/A vs. Missing Evidence

A dimension that genuinely does not apply may be treated as N/A and the remaining applicable dimensions can be reweighted.

Missing evidence is different. Important missing information may prevent a formal public rating from being published.

Confidence

Rating Confidence

HIGH
Strong evidence coverage across important dimensions.
MEDIUM
Sufficient evidence for publication with some limitations.
LOW
Insufficient confidence for a formal public star rating.
Independence

Editorial vs. Commercial Placement

Affiliate relationships, commercial priority and promotional placement do not determine a casino's editorial rating.

Featured placement may reflect commercial or merchandising priority, while Highest Rated is based on editorial rating data.

Evidence

Evidence Sources

  1. Official rules and terms
  2. Official casino website
  3. Official app or product experience
  4. Reliable external sources
  5. Unverified external claims only when clearly identified
Review Cycle

When Ratings Change

Ratings may be reviewed after material changes to offers, redemption rules, operator information, product experience or other rating inputs.

Rating history should be retained rather than silently overwritten.
